Day 1 - Hit the Road . . . Currarong

Bruce has retired ✔️
Family home at Frenchs Forest has sold ✔️
New Townhouse has been renovated and rented out for 3 months ✔️
Sallad Vacinated and travel ready ✔️

Packing Winnie wasn’t nearly as stressful as I thought but if you ask Bruce, he might give you a different story.  There are lots more cupboards than I thought but having said that, I think I’ll spend a while re-arranging where everything goes. Bruce managed to pack EVERYTHING that I wanted to bring, but I think he’ll spend a while getting his packing order perfect.

Left Sydney just after lunch and managed to beat the rush hour traffic getting out of Sydney. We chose to go to Jervis Bay as our first stop. Wanted to re-visit Honeymoon Bay, one of our favourite camping spots but sadly, it is closed during the week. Currarong is a quaint little town just nearby AND the campground have very affordable Seniors Rates, that was a bonus we hadn’t thought of.

Arrived to a very deserted campground which was nice for our first night. Didn’t have any nosey campers watching us set up. But having Winnie was way easier than setting up the old Green Tent.  Piece of cake really. Park and unload the boot.

So here we are - #sbsontour #footlooseandfancyfree #livingtheedream (thanks for the last one Tracy Brown)

NB. Has taken me ages to figure out adding photos. Obviously need more time.
